I ordered shoes for my father and he originally wanted the
lining in them so I ordered those. When I gave them to him
at Christmas and he saw they were Sperry Topsiders he
decided he wanted the ones without the lining so he could
wear them out and on the boat. I sent those back and ordered
the other ones on the sheet that came with the original
shoes. He really enjoys these shoes.

The shoes look & feel great. Of course everyone knows
Topsiders are a great looking quality shoe. I hope they
last, I have only had them for a month or so. The only
disappointment was some glue residue on the leather left on
the shoes from the factory & a couple blemishes in the
leather as well. Not sure if they were seconds or not,
however they were not flawless. Nonetheless they are nice.

Two problems: First, when the lacing breaks, it's basically
impossible to replace the broken lacing because it has to be
threaded around the back of the shoe. Second, the sole on
both shoes cracked (and leaks water) way before the sole was
worn down. Would not buy again.

They are always comfortable when new and get even better as
they are worn. My one recurring problem with these 2-holers
is that the darn leather laces don't stay tied. Double
knotting helps, but that makes them bulky, and even then, I
have found that they manage to loosen and become untied.
They are the Houdini of shoe laces!
